The Jameson Family was such a joy to photograph. Honestly – I was laughing with them and joking around so much that it reminded me why I love photography. I love being able to spend time taking quality photos for families and making sure that “family photos” isn’t a bore or a chore. It is so rewarding to meet up with strangers who have trusted me to take their photos and leave the session full of happiness from having a good time.
For this session, I explored a lot of Hobble Creek Canyon to find the perfect location that was new to this family. They already live in Springville UT and the ease of going to Hobble Creek was appealing to them. So I drove through the canyon while my kids were napping in the back to find a beautiful place – and I love where we ended up going. The light was perfect the day we went, and so were the fall colors.
Before really starting my business, I hadn’t factored in the time I would need to put in for location scouting. But as a photographer I want to make sure I know about the popular locations, and have several others up my sleeve for times like this when the family was tired of their “usual” spot at Jolley’s Ranch. And although Jolley’s Ranch is beautiful – I totally get the need for something new and different to change things up.
So here are some of their photos – I was even able to help take some Senior Photos for their youngest son who’s graduating this upcoming Spring! Such a good way to check off two needs with one photo session.
